1st Semester Reflection

I)   When analyzing the quality of my work, I use many tools to create a perfect image. I like to be creative and sometimes mess around with the tool bar and see what the outcome would be. I make sure that the contrast and focus is just right. I ensure all my work is on schedule and matches the necessities of the task            I make sure I put in a lot of effort when taking pictures. I will sometimes take double  the pictures  that are needed and sometimes triple. I do that so I can get the right picture that has the perfect angle and perfect lighting. I will in general do a great deal of setting up for the photograph to get precisely what I need. If a shot is hard, I do not give up, I think of it as a challenge. When looking at other students' work, I try and see what I can learn from it. Having a positive attitude toward my own images is super important. Sometimes if my work is not how I wanted the outcome to be, I don't get upset about it, I just tell myself "

Seeing the full picture certainly changes my perspective on the picture. I can observe that the picture is not photoshopped and is a picture of street artists putting an image on a wall on the side of a building. The structure gives off an impression of being somewhat worn out. The man is hanging by a rope from the top of the building and is painting an image on the building. The picture is so huge as the artists needs individuals to see it and consider it. The picture is so huge it seems, by all accounts, to be cut in certain segments. The area seems somewhat run down, urban improvement. I think the title 'The Last Girl" is the artists method for telling individuals that proceeding to live in terrible conditions will in the end make the population decrease. The little girl's emotions is pitiful and practically dispassionate.

Describe the image as closely as you can.  Write your description on your Blog. What do you think is going on here?  Is this an artistic image or a documentary image (or both)? Is the image Photoshopped? Try to assign meaning to the image. What do you think the photographer's intent was? What does the image say to you? How does the difference in scale between the man and the girl's face add to your interpretation of the photograph?       The following picture by Gottfried Helnwein is illustrating a huge face with the eye being the focal concentration alongside the nose and the mouth, and a little man on the face with a line going down.  The person looks as if he might be utilizing a string of her hair to climb up her face, to look at her and attempt to make sense of what she might be cover up underneath all the makeup.  I believe that this is an artistic image and a documentary image as the piece looks to be drawn and shaded with pencil, and the man may have been put
